Adam Ziegler who is a 22-year veteran of Law Enforcement, with a comprehensive background in canine training will be instructing on canine conditioning.
· 14 years as a K-9 handler supervisor
· 6-time scent detection certification, (USPCA)
· Elite scent detection 2009, (USPCA).
· Advanced scent detection certification (ATF).
· Canine conditioning certification
Barbarann Bannon, who has trained dogs since 1994 and holds certifications in the following disciplines.
· National (SAR) Evaluator and Coordinator
· SAR Certifications (ICS 100, 200, 700, 800)
· Field Team Leader (NASAR III)
· Vet Tec. Certification Penn Foster
· CGC Evaluator
· K-9 Fitness certification
1:00pm to 2:30pm with Dr. Montealegre
Dr. Catalina Montealegre will be hosting a CPR & First Aid canine class. Dr. Catalina has been a practicing emergency service veterinarian since 2007 and currently works at the University of Pennsylvania emergency department full time. She received her veterinary degree as well as an additional 1-year internship from the University of Pennsylvania Veterinary school.
Dr. Cat has taught CPR and First Aid classes to the local police departments, fire departments, and dog groups for the last 10 years. She is the editor for the Working Dog Practitioner certification course and volunteers at the Penn Vet Working Dog Center.
In 2015 she was awarded the Hall of Fame Animal Welfare Award by the New Jersey Veterinary Medical Association. She has a soft spot for all working dogs, but also has interests in canine reproduction and sports medicine.
